A ranking of the best online casinos is worth as much as its denominator. Our library contains one hundred operator records, closed on 26 August 2026 with a single record updated on 2 September. Of those hundred, forty-seven receive a score out of ten points and fifty-three do not receive one at all. Anyone presenting a ranking of fifty names all with a number beside them is filling in boxes that nobody has read. This page shows the ranking in full, explains why two equal scores do not mean two equal sites and says out loud which rows are left empty.
What best means in a re-checkable ranking
The score is the sum of seven components out of a maximum of ten points: licence number confirmed in a register (2.5), clarity of the verification clause (2), published list of refused countries (1.5), currencies accepted (1.5), breadth of coverage (1.5), no verification imposed at account opening (1) and list of providers (1, declared but not counted today).
None of these components describes entertainment. Four and a half points out of ten concern identity and licence documents. It is a declared choice: among the best online casinos we put at the top those whose behaviour is written down somewhere and re-checkable, not those with the richest shop window. A site with a thousand games and a licence number that cannot be found in the register takes fewer points than a site with forty games and a verifiable number.
The heaviest component is precisely the licence, and it is read in full: number, body that issued it, holding company, date of issue and status at the moment we opened the register, that is, 26 August 2026. Fifty-six records out of a hundred take the 2.5 points in full; seven take 0.8 because they declare a licence that we did not confirm in the register; five take zero for revocation; thirty-two have the box empty. This single column explains much of the order in which the best online casinos arrange themselves.
The method, component by component, is explained in the broader page on online casinos; here we look at the result.

The tail of the ranking comes down to 3.3 with Sportbet.one. The mean of the forty-seven scores is 6.06, the median 6.5. The dash in the currencies column does not mean zero: it means the list was not found on the pages read, so the component stays empty and the score is calculated without it.
One thing catches the eye running down the refused countries column: among the best online casinos by score there is one, Oshi Casino, that declares it does not serve two hundred and twenty-four countries and still sits in fifteenth place with 7.2. The explanation is that having published the list is worth a fixed point and a half, while its length costs it almost the whole point and a half of the next component: 0.2 out of 1.5. Rewarding publication and penalising the breadth of refusals are two distinct operations, and a ranking that confuses them produces strange orders.
Ties: the same score, different addends
Cloudbet and DuckDice both reach 8.5, with six components read each. But they get there by two opposite routes. Cloudbet settles accounts in forty currencies, the most in the library, and declares it does not serve just two countries; DuckDice settles in ten currencies and refuses sixteen. On the currencies component Cloudbet takes full marks for breadth, DuckDice takes them because ten is enough to saturate that scale. On coverage both take 1.5 out of 1.5, because two and sixteen are small numbers in a sample where the median of the lists is thirty-two.
Rakebit and Shuffle tie at 8.0 with a mirror-image difference: Rakebit settles in fifteen currencies but its verification clause does not carry a citable clause number and takes 1 point out of 2; Shuffle settles in six and its clause 4.1 is citable, so it takes 1.5 out of 2. The point lost by one is made up by the other elsewhere. Among the best online casinos, a tie is almost always the sign that two different profiles have added up the same, not that they are interchangeable.
Bitcasino.io, Empire.io, Playbet.io and Sportsbet.io tie at 7.5, and here the difference is bigger still: three of them have five components read, Playbet.io has six. We come back to this straight away, because it is the most delicate point in the whole ranking.
The denominator: five components and six components are not the same thing
All forty-seven scores are expressed out of ten. The number of components actually read, however, changes from record to record: seventeen operators have six, sixteen have five, nine have four and nine have three. The score is calculated on the points collected against the total available, and this means that a record with five components read can take a high score precisely because the sixth box, which might have penalised it, does not exist.
Bitcasino.io is the clearest example. It takes 7.5 with five components: number OGL/2023/111/0069 confirmed, list of countries published with a single entry, clause 6.6 stating a threshold of 2,500 euros, coverage at the maximum, verification reserved from the start. The list of currencies was not read, so that component does not come in either positively or negatively. Playbet.io, with the same score, has the list of currencies as well, but it is short — three currencies — and costs it 0.6 points out of 1.5.
The practical lesson is that in a ranking of the best online casinos the number next to the name must always be read together with the count of components. A 7.5 on six boxes is a stronger statement than a 7.5 on five, and anyone publishing only the score column is hiding exactly this difference.
Who stays out of the ranking, and for what reason
Fifty-three operators do not receive a score. Twenty-six have no legible component: twenty-one because nothing could be read from their pages, five because what we read produces no points — BetChain, JustBit, mBit Casino, Sol Casino and Boomerang.bet. Nineteen have just one, typically the licence number. Four have two.
That leaves four cases that deserve a line of their own, because they have three or more components and are still without a score. Bets.io has six, but its number OGL/2024/1178/0479 shows as revoked in the register: the heaviest component is worth zero and the sum is not published. Nitrobetting has five, BetPlays four, Mega Dice three, and for none of the three did we read a licence number.
The revoked licences in the library are five: BC.Game with OGL/2023/118/0060, Bets.io with OGL/2024/1178/0479, and Betriot, Casinoly and Zet Casino all three on the same number OGL/2023/103/0067 in the name of Rabidi N.V. None of these five appears in our ranking, and this is the main reason why an honest list of the best online casinos is shorter than the market expects.
One last note on the absences: a brand that has appeared recently often has the licence number and nothing else, so it stays out not because of how it behaves but because of how many pages it has published. The difference between little documented and badly documented is the subject of the page on new online casinos.
Let us also say the uncomfortable thing. Among the fifty-three without a score there are very well-known brands, and their absence from a list of the best online casinos is not a judgement: it is the result of not having found documents. The fame of a site and the number of pages it publishes are independent quantities, and the first does not make up for the second. A list that fills the missing rows with impressions gathers more names and says less.
The columns a ranking should not have
Three quantities much used in comparisons do not appear in our table, and not out of modesty: we have not read them in a verifiable way across a hundred records.
- Payment speed. A single operator publishes a processing window: Vave states a maximum of three working days at clause 8.1, fourteen days for handing over documents at 8.7 and, above 50,000 USDT, payment in instalments over a period reaching thirty days at 8.8. A column built on one record out of a hundred would be a column invented for ninety-nine.
- RTP and volatility. No record contains these values. How they are defined, and why a declared figure is not a verified figure, is in the page on slot rtp.
- Bonuses. No field, no figure, no replay condition. A promotion changes faster than an archive can follow, and an archive that pretends to follow it lies twice.
The list of providers too, collected for thirty-three operators with five hundred and forty-eight distinct studios, stays at zero weight. Among the seven operators above 8.0, four publish no list at all: Cloudbet, Wild Fortune, Shuffle and Rakebit. Turning that box into points would reward whoever published one more page, not whoever handles an account better.
How to redo the count yourself
The ranking can be reconstructed without trusting us, in four steps.
- Look for the licence number on the operator’s site and then look for it in the register that issues it. Fifty-six records out of a hundred have a confirmed number, seven declare a licence that we did not confirm in the register, five have a revoked number, thirty-two have no number read.
- Open the terms and look for the clause on verification. Of forty-nine legible clauses, twenty-two carry a numerical reference, twenty-two are described without a reference, five contain a figure.
- Look for the withdrawal cap and its period. Fourteen out of a hundred write one, from Oshi Casino's and Instant Casino's 4,000 euros a day up to Bitcasino.io's 1,000,000 USDT a week.
- Look for the list of refused countries. Thirty-eight out of a hundred publish one, with a median of thirty-two entries; the Italian code appears in only one of those lists, Crashino’s.
Anyone who reaches the end of these four steps has almost all of our score in hand. The complete table, ordered and with the empty boxes left empty, is in the page of the migliori crypto casinò. Anyone starting instead from the opposite question — not «who is the best» but «what can really be read in a foreign operator's terms» — will find the route in the page on the dispute with a foreign operator.
